A way to express the thickness of thread in numbers
What does it mean?
The relationship between the length and weight of the thread is expressed numerically. You can see it in markings such as 20 count or 40 count on cotton yarn products.
Remember to differentiate
For the English cotton yarn-count system, a larger number means finer yarn. Other systems such as denier run in the opposite direction, so the numbers cannot be compared directly.
