Korean names: 게이지

A number representing the needle density of a knitting machine.

What does it mean?

Indicates the number of needles placed at a certain length, etc. You can see it in markings such as 7G and 12G on knit products.

Remember to differentiate

Gauge differs from yarn count, which describes yarn thickness. Even at the same gauge, fabric thickness varies with the yarn and knit structure.
